Toyotomi Hideyoshi

Toyotomi Hideyoshi is one of the most popular War Hero in Sengoku period. He is considered as one of three greatest Heroes of Sengoku period. He was the successor of Oda Nobunaga and conquered all Japan. Hideyoshi was born in Nakamura village of Owari land where was the land of Oda Nobunaga. He joined Samurai of Oda Nobunaga. He started as the lowest rank of Samurai, and promoted to the most important general of Nobunaga. He is considered as the most promoted person in the history of Japan. After Nobunaga’s death, he won the position of Nobunaga, and unified Japan that was the dream of Nobunaga. He built Osaka castle, and was appointed to the prime minister of the imperial court. He was honored to have the name of “Toyotomi.”

As the general, he was known as the master of castle siege. Today, he is one of the most popular Daimyo.

Osaka Castle (大阪城) is one of the major castles of Japan located in the center of Osaka City.It was built in 1585 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi and rebuilt by Tokugawa Hidetada. It is well known as the Castle of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. There are Tenshu (reconstructed), stone walls, moat and keeps, and many of them are still remains as the original. The entire castle is still preserved well so that you can see the actual castle from Sengoku period. Many of the ruins are chosen as the important cultural treasure of Japan. There are many attraction such as museum, and concert hole in the castle.
