Wakasa Bay (若狭湾) is a ria coast area located on the southern Fukui-Prefecture. It is a large Bay that facing the Sea of Japan. There are many beautiful sceneries that created by drawned valley. It is very famous for the fresh seafood. Because of the fresh seafood, this area delivered many fishes to Kyoto and there are many post towns that were used to be the stations of fish trading remaining here.
