Tsukuba Peony Garden

Tsukuba Peony Garden (つくば牡丹園) is one of the largest Peony Garden in Japan. It is located in Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture. There are about 550 + 215 kinds 25,000 trees in this garden. From the end of April to the end of May beautiful Peony Flowers bloom. The flower of Peony lasts only 3 days, and the right after they bloom is the best. So, visit this garden in the morning is the best to enjoy Peony.

Admission:
Spring: 800 yen for adult, 300 for under Junior high.
There is a group discount.

Time:
Spring (middle of April to late May): 9:00 to 17:00 (last entry 16:30)
Closed on Friday except during Golden Week.

Tsukuba Peony Garden

Tsukua Botan-en is a peony garden located in Tsukuba city, Ibaraki Prefecture. It is one of the largest Peony Gardens in Japan. There are 550 kinds of Tree Peony and 215 kinds Grass Peony, and 25000 trees in total in this garden. Peony bloom from the middle of April to the end of May.

In this garden, because there are so many different kinds of Peonies, you can enjoy the various colors and textures of the flowers for long period.

The best timing to enjoy peony flowers is in the morning because the it is the most beautiful moment for the flowers right after they bloom. Each flowers last only 3 days.

There are a tea house and a restaurant.
