Teramachi Temple Town (寺町寺院群), or Teramachidai, is one of peopler spots in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture. There are many temples in this area that creates the walk of Kyoto style town. It is a very quiet town with many beautiful temples. It was form from 1596 to 1681. Those many temples still have the look of Edo period. Therefore, you can enjoy walking through the old time in Japan.

Teramachi Temple Town

Teramachidai Temple Town is one of the temple town in Kanazawa. It has about 70 temples. There are two different type of temple towns are combined here. One is located on the main street leading to the graves of Maeda Clan, the lord of Kaga, Kanazawa in Edo period. The main street is very straight and large temples are located in here. Another one is a local temples town that has very narrow space. These view of the combination is very unique to this place. The gate and walls seen from the narrow streets of this town with many other traditional houses are the feature of this area.

This place is registered as Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings.

There is a temple called Ninja Temple in this town.
