Tensha-en Garden (天赦園) is a beautiful Japanese garden located in Uwajima, Ehime. It is a typical pond surrounding style garden with many seasonable flowers. It was designed for 7th lord of Uwajima Date clan. There are tea houses and view are so beautiful.

Tourist Info.
There is parking and restroom.
Admission: 300 yen for adults, 100 yen for Junior high, and 50 yen for kids.
Time: 8:30 to 17:00 (close at 16:30 from July to March)
Closed: Monday of December to February.

0. at Uwajima Station.
1. walk south (20 min.)
1. use local bus to Tenshaen.

Tensha-en Garden

Tensya-en Garden is a typical Japanese garden located in Uwajima, Ehime. It is a Daimyo Garden designed by 7th lord of Uwajima, Date Munetada in 1866.

It is a pond surrounding garden with many tea houses. There are many seasonable flowers that you can enjoy all seasons. The stone designs are very beautiful and fit with pond and natures. Also, dry river and falls has the beauty of Japanese Zen Art.

Wisteria (late April)
There are wisteria table and bridge in this garden.

Iris (eary June)

Also, Koyo in Autumn, snow in winter and Sakura in Spring are very beautiful.

There are 2 tea house in this garden. The Emperor Hirohito visited Sen-en kan Tea House.
