Travel Information

Suirakuen (翠楽苑) is a Japanese garden located in Shirakawa, Fukushima. It is designed by Matsudaira Sadanobu, the lord of Shirakawa in 1801. It is a beautiful pond surrounding style garden. There are many tea houses and resting place for enjoying the moment. It has Plum, Sakura, Azalea, Iris and many other seasonable flowers.

There is parking and restroom.
Admission: 320 yen for adult. 160 yen for kids. There is a group discount.
Free on: Jan 1, May 5 and 3rd Monday of September.
Office hours: 9:00 to 17:00 (last entry 16:30), Dec. to Mar. closed 30min. earlier.

Suirakuen

Suirakuen was the first park open for all civilians. It was constructed in 1801 by the lord of Shirakawa, Matsudaira Sadanobu. It is a beautiful pound surrounding style Garden with many seasonable flowers, especially Camellia, Plum, Azalea and Iris.

There are Tea houses that you can enjoy green tea.
