Ryuzu Waterfall

Travel Information

Ryuzu waterfall (竜頭滝 ,ryuzunotaki) is one of the waterfalls in Nikko. It has 60m (200 ft.) high and 10m (33 ft.) width. The entire fall has 210m (700 ft.) length. Ryuzu means Dragon's head. The whole fall looks like dragon. Head part has two small shape waterfalls, and the body part has many huge rounded rocks which looks like Dragon's squamosae.

There are parking and restroom are located. Around the parking space, there are tea house and gift shop.

1. use Tobunikko bust to Ryuzunotaki iriguchi (1hr.)
2. walk north (10 min.)

Ryuzu Waterfall

The entire fall really looks like Japanese style of Dragon. One of the beautiful monument created by nature. From the tail, you can see Lake Chuzenji.

It located in one of the hiking course. So, you might want to take a break here at tea house with watching beautiful waterfalls.
