Inasa Beach

Travel Information

Inasa Beach (稲佐の浜) is the most sacred Japanese beach located in Shimane. In Japanese Myth, the treaty of Kuniuzuri between Amaterasu and Okuninushi concluded here. Today, in November, at Kamiari-sai, all Japanese gods are entering from this beach and leave from here after the Matsuri.

There are parking and restroom.

Access
0. at Izumoshi Station.
1. use IchiHatakita Line to Kawato Station.
2. change the line to Izumo Oyashiromae Station.
3. use a local bus to Inasahama.

Inasa Beach
Inasa Beach appears in Japanese Myth, Kojiki and Nihonsyoki. In Japanese Myth, the treaty of Kuniuzuri between Amaterasu and Okuninushi concluded here.

At Kamiarisai, most likely happens in November, all Japanese gods visit Izumo Oyashiro Shrine and they enter from this beach. The rock on the beach is the landmark for them. It is chosen as the 100 best beaches.
