Iga Hachiman Shrine

Iga Hachiman Shrine (伊賀八幡宮) is one of the lotus spots in Okagazaki. It was established in 1470 by Matsudaira Chikatada. This shrine is the lord god for Matsudaira clan and Tokugawa Shogun. When Tokugawa Ieyasu became Shogun and govern Japan in 1611, he built the main hall here that still exists today. There are many traditional buildings in this shrine. Because it is the shrine of Tokugawa Shogunate, many people still respect today. During the July, there are many beautiful lotus flowers bloom.
