Gassan Ski Resort (月山夏スキー) is a famous ski resort where you can enjoy ski from Spring to early Summer. You can enjoy a great mountain Ski with a great panorama view. Mt.Gassan is 1984m mountain located in Yamagata Prefecture. You can enjoy ski from April to June or sometimes till July. It is an expert course that you can enjoy great mountain skiing. The course is unlimited. However, you have to be very careful about the route.

Tourist Info.
There are parking and restroom.
Tickets: 1 day pass 4600 yen for adult, and 3300 yen for kids.
There is no rental ski gear service at Gassan.
Time: 8:00 to 16:30
You have to walk to the lift and ticket office from their parking.
Note: It is not like other ski resort, Mt. Gassan Ski resort is a mountain. So, it will be all your responsibility for any kinds of accidents because it's a mountain.
Season: The mid-April to early July.

Access
You need a car to visit here. Use Yamagata Expressway to Gassan and drive north.
There is a bus from Yamagata Station.

2. change another bus to Gassan Guchi.
3. change another bus to Gassan.

Gassan Summer Ski
Gassa Ski resort is located on Mt. Gassan, Yamagata Prefecture. Unlike other ski resort closed around the early April, Gassan Ski resort opens from the early April, and you can enjoy ski until early July. The altitude is 1600m above the sea level and the entire mountain is the ski course. You can enjoy great summer skiing with nice warm temperature and green leaves.

The lift only goes to the middle of the mountain. After that, there is a T- Bar lift that takes you little bit higher level. After that, you have to climb up by yourself. That is also the fun part of mountain skiing.

Note: It is not like other ski resort, Mt. Gassan Ski resort is a mountain. So, it will be all your responsibility for any kinds of accidents because it's a mountain.

One day pass: 4,600 yen for adults, 3,300 yen for kids.
1 tickets: 580 yen for adults, 400 yen for kids.
7 rickets: 3,700 yen for adults, 2,700 yen for kids.
Half day pass : 3400 yen for adults, 2700 yen for kids.
