Daio Wasabi Farm (大王わさび農場) is located in Azumino, Nagano. Daio Wasabi Farm is not just farm but also have many tourist attraction with Wasabi, and various kinds of Wasabi products including Wasabi Soft-cream. The farm is access free, so that you can see real wasabi field. Also, they have experiencing making Wasabi-zuke, pickled wasabi. You can buy fresh Wasabi, and all other kinds of Wasabi related food.

…is widely known as a spice for sushi. However, it can apply many other food. Wasabi is a member of the Brassicaceae family, which includes cabbages, horseradish and mustard. Its root is used as a spice and has an extremely strong flavour. Its hotness is more akin to that of a hot mustard than the capsaicin in a chili pepper, producing vapors that stimultate the nasal passages more than the tongue. The plant grows naturally along stream beds in mountain river valleys in Japan.

Wasabi has a very strong Sterilization and this is one of the main reason for adding wasabi to soy sauce of Sushi and Sashimi.

…has a restaurant and Soba shop which both serve fresh Wasabi related dishes. Soba is one of the main food in Nagano because it has pure water from Kita Alpine. To grow a good wasabi, pure water is the most important essential, as well. The Wasabi Soba is the greatest combination of Wasabi and Soba with one of the best water in Japan.

Wasabi Soft-cream is one of the interesting wasabi related sweets. It is not spicy like other wasabi food, but it contains all good stuff of Wasabi.
