Ajisai at Meigetsuin (明月院のアジサイ) is the most famous Ajisai, Hydrangea spot in Kamakura. There are about 2,500 Hydrangea in this temple. With the beautiful Japanese garden of temple, Hydranega bloom beautifully. From the beginning of June to the begining of July, they will bloom and many people visit here during the season.

Tourist Info.
There is no parking. There is restroom.
Admission in June: 500 yen.
Time: 9:00 to 16:00

Access
0. at Kamakura Station.
1. use JR Yokosuka Line to Kitakamakura.
2. walk south (10 min.)

Ajisai at Meigetsuin

Meigetsuin Temple is a Rinzai Buddhism Temple located in Kamakura. It was established by Uesugi Norimasa in 1394. It is well known as the Ajisai temple of Kamakura. There are about 2,500 Hydrangea planted in this temple and they bloom beautifully in June.
