Yuzuki Castle (湯築城) is the ruins of castle located in Matsuyama, Ehime. It was built in early 14th century. It was built by Kono Tunenobu after Genpei War. This castle was the center of Iyo for over 250 years until Hideyoshi's invasion. There is Samurai Houses restored. There are inner moats and outer moats. Today, it becomes Dogo Park and top of the hill that located in the center of this castle has observatory.

Yuzuki Castle

Type: Hilltop castle.
Built in: early 14th century by Kono Clan.
Class: Ruins

Yuzuki Castle was constructed in early 14th century by Kono clan. It was used to be the capital of the land of Iyo for over 250 years. There are two layers of moats surrounding a hill.

The inner bailey that located between the inner moat and outer moat were used to be the residential zone for Samurai. The structures of Samurai Residence are restored as well as garden. The earth bunk of moats also restored.

There are two Samuari House are restored and displays the life of Samurai. There is also cleft museum in this park. Western zone is a Japanese garden style park.

There is a huge stone pot that is the oldest relics in this park.
