旅游详情介绍

This Dutch Slope
Dutch Slope is one of the three disappointments in Japan. It is located in Higashiyamate Western Style houses. Therefore, there are many traditional western style houses on this street.

The people of Nagasakireferred to non-Asian as Dutch because the majority of foreigners were Dutch sailors living on Dejima. The name of this stone paved slope in the foreign settlement corners from the fact that it was often busting with westerners. At the begining of the Meiji period, Niels Lundberg, a trading merchant, cleared the land to make way for Hollander Slope using gunpoweder.
