Tsuboniwa (坪庭) is located on North Yatsugatake mountains. It is a bowl shape flat land made from the lava of Yatsugatake. All the plants and flowers grows on the lava. From May to August, there are many high mountain flowers bloom. With those beautiful flowers, hard lava rock and mountain pine creats the view of Japanese garden.

There is parking and restroom at the station of the ropeway.
Ropeway: round trip for 1900 yen for adult, and 950 yen for kids.
There is a group discount.

Tuboniwa is a natural garden made from lava of Kitayatsugatake mountain. The altitude of Tsuboniwa is about 2237m from the sea level. It has a beautiful hiking course that takes about 30 min. From May to August, there are many highland flowers. Tusuboniwa is so famous flower watching spot. It has a great view of Japanese Alps.
The trail is made from lava. So, you need a nice hiking shoes to walk around. It takes about 30 min for round trip.
