Biggest Drum Festival

Narita Drum Festival (成田太鼓祭) is one of the largest Japanese drum festival held at Narita-san Shinshoji temple in the middle April. Over 50 great drum teams will be performing in this festival. There are 8 performance stages around the temple and every moment, some drum teams are performing their unique drums. At the night, the huge drum stage will be set at the front of the main hall of Shinshoji temple, and 5 best drum teams will perform. The light of the torch and the sound of the drum under the temple are so mysterious.

There are parking and restroom.
Time: 10:00 to 19:00
Season: the weekends (Sat. & Sun.) of the middle of April.
There are many foods stands at Shinshoji temple

Narita Drum Festival is one of the best Japanese Drum festivals happens in the middle of April. There are about 50 drum teams that play many local traditional Japanese drums and new modern drums. It is so dynamic to see great Japanese drums.

On the 2nd day of the festival, there is a drum performing parade on the main leading street of Shinshoji temple.

Also, Night Drum Concert are so beautiful.
