Nene's Street (ねねの道, nenenomichi) is one of the best streets in Kyoto. It is located in front of Kodaiji Temple which was built by Nene for his husband Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Nene also removed her house and garden on Fushimi Castle and built Entokuin Temple. Those two temples Nene for Hideyoshi are on this street. The view of Nene's street is considered as the most appearent view of Kyoto.

Detailed Travel Guide for Nene's Street

Kodaiji Temple
was established by Nene, the wife of Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1598. There are many historical buildings and houses which removed from Fushimi Castle. The Teahouse of this temple was the favorite house for Hideyoshi, and it was designed by Sen no Rikyu, the tea master.

Entokuin Temple
was also established by Nene. She removed her house and garden of Fushimi Castle to here and stayed until she died.
