Lake Kawaguchi (河口湖, kawaguchiko) is the one of the five lakes around Mt. Fuji. It is the second biggest lakes, and it has longest shore line. A lot of family activities take place in Lake Kawaguchi. Lake Kawaguchi is the famous destination for family trip, so there many hotels around. Lake Kawaguchi is the only Lake which developed as tourist attraction in Fuji Five Lakes.

Lake Kawaguchi is the one of the Fuji Five Lakes (Fujigoko) and most developed town for tourism, and appointed Fujihakoneizu National Park. The lake some times reflects Mt.Fuji. It hold many festivals in summer, autumn tints ceremonies in fall, and fireworks in winter.
There is Fuji-Q Highland which is one of Japan's largest amusement parks. Two major rollercoasters, Fujiyama which is briefly tallest rollercoaster in Japan and Dodonpa which is briefly fastest rollercoaster in the world in are in this park.
Because there is great spa spot around this lake, hotels and many other facilities are existed. You will enjoy fishing, boat riding, camping with your families.
Rowing is the one of the major sports in Lake Kawaguchi. In summer, six 1000m courses will be placed and many competition hold here.
