Painting Akabeko at Nisshinkan (日新館赤ベコ絵付け) is a popular experiencing at Nisshinkan, Aizu, Fukushima. Akabeko is one of the famous toy of Aizu area. It is a paper made doll of a red cow. At Nisshinkan, you can try painting Akabeko. It takes about 30 min. and you can design your own Akabeko. Your Akabeko will be yours after painting.

No need for reservation.
Admission: 870 Yen.
At 3rd Dojo.

Nisshinkan:
Admission: 620 yen for adult, 500 yen for high and jr. high students. 450 yen for kids.
There is group discount and handicap person.
Open: 9:00 to 16:00
Note: the touring course is different between summer time and winter time. Video shows winter touring.

0. at Aizu-Wakamatsu Station.
1. use JR Ban-etsu west line to Hirota.
2. walk north (30 min.) or take taxi.
