Nagatoro Arai House (長瀞旧新井家住宅) is one of the traditional houses located in Nagatoro. This house was constructed about 270 years ago. Unlike other traditional houses, this house uses wooden plate roof. Also, this area has a stable inside of the house. Arai House was major producer of silk in this area.

There is parking and restroom.
Admission: 200 yen, 100 yen for kids. There is a group discount.
Time: 9:00 to 17:00, (closes at 16:00 fro Oct. to Mar.)
Close: On Monday. When Monday is holiday. It closes on Tuesday.

Arai House is traditional house located in Nagatoro, Saitama Prefecture. It was constructed over 250 years ago. Arai Family was one of the producer of silk. It takes the typical silk producers house in Nagatoro. This house was reconstructed 3 times and fully restored as it was used to be in 1975.
There is a museum located right next the house that also displays the folk tools and silk producing equipment of Edo period.
