100 Best Japanese Mountains

Mt.Adatara (安達太良山) is one of the 100 best Japanese mountains located in Fukushima Prefecture. It is one of the most popular mountain in Tohoku. It is 1728m tall an active volcano. You can still see the volcanic activities. There is a ropeway to reach the middle way of the mountain. It has a great panorama view of Fukushima including Lake Inawashiro and Urabandai.

There is a parking and restroom.
Ropeway
Time: 8:30 to 16:30 (last ropeway to go down is 16:20)
One-way: 1000 yen for adult, 750 yen for kids.
Round Trip: 1700 yen for adult, 1300 for kids.
There is a group discount.
Pet: 550 yen for small, 850 for large size.
Be careful with the gas of volcano.

0. at Koriyama Station.
1. use JR Tohoku Line to Nihonmatsu Station.
2. use shuttle bus to Adatarayamaokudake

Mt. Adatara an active volcano located in the middle of Fukushima Prefecture. It is chosen as the 100 best mountains, the new 100 best mountains and the 100 best flower mountains. The peak of Mt. Adatara is 1728m from the sea level. From the top of Mt. Adatara, it has a great panorama view of Fukushima.

There is a ropeway that reach to 1300m from the sea level. Because it is very easy to climb up, it is very popular mountains for hikiers. It is takes about 4 hours for round trip including ropeway.
