Daizenji Temple is Shingon Buddhism temple located in Kosyu, Yamanashi Prefecture. It was established in 718 by priest Gyoki. In Nara Period, Emperor Shomu granted the name of the temple. Since then, many great worriers such as Taira no Kiyomori, Minamoto no Yoritomo donated the land and building and repairing the buildings.
Yakushi nyorai Statue, the main principal image, was made in Heian period. There are Two Bosatsu statues surrounding Yakushi nyorai on both side are also made in Heian period. 12 worrier gods are made in Kamakura period, and they has very strong images. They are all stored in Yakushido Hall that is the national treasure of Japan.
Constructed in 1286. It is the oldest wooden building in eastern Japan, and registered as the national treasure of Japan. It is 24 square meters with Hinoki Roof Structure that is Kamakura style.

Kondo Isami, the commander of Shinsengumi settled his headquarter at this temple.
