Yonako Great Falls (米子大瀑布) is one of 100 best waterfalls in Japan. It is located in Suzaka, Nagano. Yonako Falls is the inclusive term of Gongen Falls and Fudo Falls. Gongen Falls ( 権現滝) is 75m high and Fudo Falls (不動滝) is 85m high. It is very rare that two of such a high waterfalls located right next to each other. In October, it has beautiful Autumn leaves around the falls. Tourist Info.
There is a parking and restroom. On the weekends of October, the road to the falls will be closed, and instead of private transportation, there is a shuttle bus from Yukkudon Onsen Center. Round trip is 1200 yen.

1. use Nagano Dentetsu Line to Suzaka (26 min.)
2. talk bus to Yukkudon or tax to Yonakodaibakufu.
3. walk 4 hours from Yukkudon.

There are several hiking course around this waterfalls. It is very beautiful during October. Because it is located on the high up in the mountain, Koyo starts much earlier than other place nearby.

This waterfalls are located at huge caldera and water fall into the caldera. This caldea is one of three major caldera in Japan.

Fudo Falls is sometimes used for Takigyo.
