Valley with Waterfalls

Yokoya Valley (横谷峡) is one of best tourist spot in Tateshina Highland, Nagano prefecture. It is about 6km long beautiful valley with many waterfalls. Yokoya Valley has many beautiful aspects in each seasons. In Spring, it has green leaves. In Summer, you can play water on the riverside. In Autumn, it has beautiful Koyo. In winter, it has ice walls.
It has a great walking trail. There is Onsen facility on this valley, too.

Tourist Info.
There is parking and restroom.
It takes about 3 hours of walking.

Access
0. at Okaya Station.
1. use JR Chuo Line to Chino Station.
2. use local bus to Yokoyakyoiriguchi.

Yokoya Valley

Yokoya Valley is located on North Yatugatake Mountains, Nagano prefecture. On the walking pass, there are many beautiful waterfalls. The altitude of the valley is about 1530m from the sea level. It is considered as one of the best Koyo spot in Nagano.

Start at Yokoyakyo entrance.

Otome Falls: about 15m tall waterfalls.
Kirifuri Falls: about 5m tall waterfalls.

Byobu Rock:Frozen in winter.
Otaki Falls: One of the best Koyo spot in this valley.
