The traditional town of Asuke (足助の町並み) is a preserved scenery as the important historical buildings. There are many historical building that remains since Edo period. Asuke was very important post town that connect Owari-Mikawa and Shinano. The view of the post town is still preserved in great condition.

There is parking. Restroom is available at the town center.

Asuke's view of Edo style town is registered as the preserved scenery of important historical buildings. The current sight of Asuke was built in 1775. There are many houses still remaining since that time. Asuke was started as the castle town. After the castle was abandoned, it became very important post town between Owari-Mikawa and Shinano. The main product of this town was salt.
