Shimazaki Touson House

This house (旧島崎藤村邸) is the last house of the famous writer, Shimazaki Touson. It is located in Oiso, Kanagawa. This house was constructed in late Taisho era. It is very simple structure with small garden. A study is very small with Kamiza and small window with Hagi tree. Touson was born in Kiso in 1872 and wrote many great novels. He passed away at this house in 1943. It is a quiet place.

There is no parking. There is restroom.
Admission: Free.
Close: Monday.
Time: 9:00 to 16:00
Note: No entry into the house.

0. at Odawara Station.
1. use JR Tokaido to Oiso.
2. walk west (10 min.)

Shimazaki Touson House
Shimazaki Touson (1872 - 1943)
Touson was born in Kiso Magomejuku, Nagano. He wrote many great novels. He spent last days at Oiso and passed away during writing his last work "Toho no mon."

This house is very small house with a garden constructed in Taisho era. A study was his most favorite place. It's a small room with Tokonoma. The window use the brunches of Hagi tree.
