Niitsu Petroleum Museum (石油の世界館) is located in Niigata city, Niigata Prefecture. It displays all kinds of petroleum mining related items and records that you can learn about the petroleum. It also displays the history of Niitsu Oil Field.Niitsu was the largest oil field in Japan and has a history of over 1,000 years. This museum introduces the common knowledge of oil mining, and the history of Niitsu Oil Field. Niitsu Oil Field appears in 668 and had been used until 1980.

Niitsu Petroleum Museum is an oil history and educational museum located in Niigata Prefecture.

The records of Oil History: it displays many fossils and other documents that you can learn the history of the oil of the earth. You can understand how the oil is formed on the earth.

It also the displays the all the tools of Niitsu Oil Field that has the history of over 1000 years. This history of Japanese oil has over 1000 years. It appears in the Japanese myth. In 668, the oil stone and oil-water has been donated from this land to the imperial palace.
