Seikeien Garden (星渓園) is Japanese Garden located in Kumagaya, Saitama. It was built by Takei during the end of Edo period. It is a small pond surrounding style garden with 3 tea houses. This garden has existed since 1623. The central pond was used to be a spring.

There are parking and restroom.
Open: 9:00 to 17:00 (16:00 from November to February.)
Admission: Free.
Close at Monday.

Seikeien Garden

Seikeien Garden is a pond surrounding style garden located in Kumagaya, Saitama. It was constructed by Takei Tanjo from the end of Edo period to early Meiji period. There are 3 Japanese tea houses in this garden.

In 1623, Ara River flooded and created a pond. This pond became a spring and named Tamanoike. Later Tankei built his 2nd house and its garden here.
