Mt. Kinkei (金鶏山) is a 98.6 m tall mountain located in Hiraizumi. This site is registered as UNESCO world heritage site of Hiraizumi. Kinkei literary means golden chucky. Legend said, Fujiwara no Hidehira made an artificial mountain imitated Mt. Fuji, and buried golden statue of chucky on this mountain.

There is no parking and restroom.

0. at Ichinoseki Station.
1. use JR Tohoku Line to Hiraizumi.
2. walk north west (30 min.)

Terminal Station: Ichinoseki Station.
Access from Sendai
- By train. use JR Tohoku Shinkansen to Ichinoseki.
- By car. use Tohoku Expressway to Ichinoseki
