Detailed Travel Guide

Kisai Castle

Type: Water Floating Castle.
Built in: Unknown (first appears in 1455)
Class: Reconstructed

There is no record which tells when and how this castle was built. It seems like one of brunch castle of Kanto Uesugi clan. This castle was defeated by Uesugi Kenshin because he was just up set and looking for some thing to take it out on in 1563.

This castle has very complicated moat, called shoji bori. This type of moat could be seen only at Osaka castle. However, the layout and baileys of this castle was very simple and most likely, this castle was house of Daimyo.
