Kakunodate Ishiguro House (角館石黒家) is one of Samurai House located in Kakunodate, Akita prefecture. It is the oldest house in Kakunodate. The garden, house, gate, walls and Kura are preserved in great conditions. Ishiguro House is the only Samurai House that visitors can step inside of the house. The main house was constructed between 18th to 19th century.

Tourist Info.
There is no parking. There is restroom.
Admission: 300 yen for adult, 150 yen for kids. There is group discount.
Open: 9:00 to 17:00.

Ishiguro House is the oldest Samurai House in Kakunodate. It is also the highest class of Samurai House as well. From the out side, it has great black walls with large gate. There is Samurai window. The house has Kayabuki style building. The gate was built in 1809. The gate, wall, house and storage are all remains since Edo period.

Ishiguro House is the only Samurai House that visitors can step in the house with a guide. The garden has over 250 years old Sakura and Maples.
