Hida Arakawa House (飛騨・荒川家住宅) is one of the traditional houses located in Takayama.
It is a gorgeous mayors house constructed in 1747. It is two stories building with large masts and beams. You can see many structure for heavy snow region.

Hida Arakawa House

Arakawa House is one of the traditional house located in Takayama, Gifu Prefecture. It is a large scale farmers house that is registered as the national important cultural assets.

This house was constructed in 1747. It is two story Kiritsuma style house with Kura storage. This house uses many thick and big trees that have strong structure against the heavy snow.
