Gojome Castle

Gojome Castle (五城目城) is a mountain castle located in Gojome, Akita prefecture. It was located on Mt. Moriyama. This castle was constructed between Azuchimomoyama period to early Edo period by Fujiwara Hidemori. Today, It is reconstructed castle and the inside of the castle is wooden craft museum. It has a great view from the observatory.

Admission: Fee.
Open: 9:00 to 17:00 (Nov. until 16:00)
Closed:Dec. 1 to Mar. 31.

0. at Akita Station.
1. use JR Ouu Line to Hachirogata Station.
2. use local bus to Gojyomejo.

Gojome Castle

Gojome Castle is a mountain castle located in Akita. It was mountain castle that built by Fujiwara Hidemori, later Gojome Hidemori. The ruins consist baileys, dry moat, keep stands and surrounded by wooden barricade.

Today, there is a fake tenshu was constructed and inside of it is wood craft museum.
