Chigasaki Castle (茅ヶ崎城) is the ruins of Japanese castle which built in end of Heian Period by Tada Yukitsuna. It remains many moat, dirt hills, walls and baileys in good condition. Current structure was built in the end of 14th century. This castle has great structure of Hojo Style Castle.

There is no parking. There is restroom.

Detailed Travel Guide for Chigasaki Castle

Type: Hilltop
Built in: end of 14th century.
Class: Ruins.

Chigasaki Castle has 4 baileys: main, north west and east.

Originally, there were only two baileys in this castle. In 15th century, it was extended two more baileys and dry moat. This was constructed by Uesugi clan.

In 16th century, Hojo took over this castle and built more moats and wall to make it stronger.
