Agatsuma Valley (吾妻渓谷, agatsumakeikoku) is one of the valley which chosen as the best land scape of Japan, and located in Gunma. It is very beautiful valley with many hiking courses. Especially, in the fall, you can enjoy great autumn tint. However, the valley is very high angle slope, so many people have accidents and lost their life. So, you have to be very careful when you enjoy hiking.

Currently in the process of dam construction. After the dam is finished, the half of the valley will be onder the water. So, you might want to visit before the completion of the dam.
There are some waterfalls run in to the valley. The hiking course is located in high position, so you can have great arial view of the valley.
There is Onsen village, Kawaharayu Onsen very nearby. Especially in the fall, it has great autumn tint in this valley. So, many people visit this valley and enjoy Onsen around the valley.
Hiking course is not well conditioned. Many people lost their life by slipping down to the river. So, you have to be careful when you enjoy hiking in this valley.
