Saruo Falls (猿尾滝) is one of 100 best Japanese waterfalls located in Hyogo prefecture. It is two-step waterfalls 60m in total. The upper falls is 39m tall, and lower falls is 21m. Saruo literary means the tail of monkey. It was named because the shape of the falls looks like the tail of monkey.

Saruo Falls is one of the best waterfalls in Hyogo. It is deginated as scenic beauty of Hyogo. Also, it is chosen one of 100 best waterfalls. It is also great Koyo spots. In Autumn, all trees around the falls change to beautiful red. Sometimes, it frozen up in winter.
Legend said, the lord of Muraoka domain enjoy Somen nagashi at this falls.
