Oarai Isosaki Shrine (大洗磯前神社) is one of the oldest shrines located in Ibaraki Prefecture. It was established in 856 as the protector of all Ibaraki. It enshrines Onamuchinomikoto and Sukunahikonanomikoto. It's been highly respected by many people. 2nd Lord of Mito Domain, Tokugawa Mitsukuni donated to reconstruct the buildings. These buildings were constructed in 1730 and have beautiful carving art of early Edo.

Isosaki Shrine is one of the oldest shrines in Ibaraki Prefecture. It was established in 856. It was classed as the top rank of Shrine when it was established. It is very rare for the history of Japan. The main god of this shrine is also known as Okuninushi no mikoto who built this nation. He is highly respected as the god and protector of the new frontier land. Legend said that he and Sukunahiko came from the heaven and try to help the people of the eastern region.

After the shrine was established, many people have been highly respected this shrine.
