Arakawa House is one of the traditional house located in Takayama, Gifu Prefecture. It is a large scale farmers house that is registered as the national important cultural assets.

This house was constructed in 1747. It is two story Kiritsuma style house with Kura storage. This house uses many thick and big trees that have strong structure against the heavy snow.

Ogata House
... is another traditional house located next to Arakawa House. This house was constructed in 1850.
