Takase House Museum (高瀬家資料館) is a local museum which displays many treasure of Takase family who was one of high class Samura of Kiso Fukushima. There are many historical treasures such as the strategic map of the siege of Osaka, winter, guns, armers, martial arts scrolls and arts. This house is also where the sister of Shimazaki Toson, the famous novelist married into. There are many Toson's items displayed.

No parking, use the public parking near.
Admission: 200 yen for adult, and 100 yen for kids.

Takase House Museum

Takase family was one of very important Samurai of Yamamura Daikan. They were the instructor of guns, and sword fighting. There are the Menkyo Scroll of Onoha Itto Ryu which is very important material today. Also, there is a map of the siege of Osaka, winter in this museum.

Shimazaki Toson is one of the most popular novelist during Meiji and Taisho era. His famous novel, Ie (the house) took place of this house. There are many his writing, and photos. Also, there is great Kakejiku made by Toson and his father.
