Shigitatsuan (鴫立庵) is a beautiful tea house located in Oiso, Kanagawa. It is one of three top Haiku Houses in Japan. As the history of Haiku Dojo, it has over 300 years of history. In 1664, Hiku master Sosetsu visited here and wrote a poem. He left a post stone here. It's a beautiful riverside place to read a poem.

There is no parking. There is restroom.
Admission: 100 yen for adult. 50 yen for kids. There is a group discount.
Time: 9:00 to 16:00

Shigitatsuan

Shigitatsuan is one of three major Haiku Dojo in Japan (Rakushisya in Kyoto and Mumyoan in Shiga). This place has a great scenery called Shigitatsu Riverside.

Shigitatsu Riverside appears in the poem of Priest Saigyo who is the famous poet in Heian period.

In 1664, Sousetsu posted a stone at this place and brought 5 buddhist statues.

Current Tea House was constructed in 1765. There are other small temples. It is a very spiritual place to wrote a poem.
