Bairin of Sakata Castle (坂田城趾梅林) is one of the popular plum spot in Chiba. There are about 1,200 Ume trees in this castle. From the end of February. to mid March, beautiful plum flowers bloom.

Sakata Castle is the ruins of Japanese castle built in 14th century by Ida clan. It is a hilltop castle that has 4 large baileys. Dry moat and dirt hills are remains good.
