Cedar Ave. of Nikko (日光杉並木) is the longest tree avenue in the world. It is about 36km long from Ogura to Nikko. Cedar were planted by Matsudaira Masatsuna after the death of Ieyasu. This was for the worshiping road to Toshogu, the grave of Ieyasu. There are still about 12,500 Cedar trees remaining on this road.

There is no parking or restroom.
It is very long pass. The best spot is the pass between Kamiimaichi Station and Nikko Station.
It will be about 6km long.

After his lord Ieyasu's death, he spent about 20 years to plan those trees. Some of them had been lost, but there are still over 12,500 trees for over 400 years. They are registered both special historical site and special natural monument.
Note: Please Cedar trees are very delicate. So, please don't step on their roots.
