Bito House

Bito House (旧尾藤家住宅) is one of the traditional houses located in Chirimen Road, Kyoto Prefecture. This house was constructed in 1865. Bito family was raw silk and chirimen wholesalers. Generations of the Bito family served as the village headman for Kaya and contributed to the development of Tango-Chirimen. Family members were appointed to various honored positions such as president of Bank, Mayor of Kaya, and other important posts after the Meiji era.

There is no parking. There is a restroom.
Admission: 200 yen for adult. 100 yen for under junior school.
There is a group discount.
Time: 9:00 to 17:00
Closed on: Monday (closed on the next day when Monday is the holiday.)
