Mt. Echizen (越前岳) is one of the mountains of Mt. Ashitaka. It is a very popular hiking spot that has a great view of Mt. Fuji. Mt. Echizen is 1504m tall that makes it the tallest mountains of Mt. Ashitaka. The trekking route of Mt. Echizen takes about 4 hours round trip. There are many benches for break time and trail is very easy to walk.

There are parking and restroom.
It will takes 2 hours to reach the top of the mountain.

Need a car.
From Tome Express way Fuji exit to north east (10km).
On route 469.

Trekking at Mt. Echizen

The altitude difference: 629m.

Time: 4 hours.

Mt. Echizen is located in Susono city, Shizuoka Prefecture. It is one of the mountains of Mt. Ashitaka and tallest one in there.

The entire trail is very easy except at the last, there are steep pass. There are many view points that has a great view of Mt. Fuji.
