Trekking at Mt.Kimpu (金峰山トレッキング) is one of the very popular hiking around Tokyo. Mt. Kimpu is 2,599m tall and chosen as one of 100 best Japanese mountains. It is located on the border of Yamanashi and Nagano. The easiest trekking is from Otarumi mountain pass. It will take about 4 hours for a round trip and has a great panorama view of all Yamanashi and Nagano including Mt. Fuji and Minami Alps.
