Oyama Afuri Shrine (大山阿夫利神社) is located on the Mt. Oyama. The top of the Mt. Oyama was the sacred place for over 2,200 years. It was used to be the god of the rain and water for all Sagami area. After the middle ares, many Samurai starting from Minamoto no Yoritomo, Hojo, Tokugawa, had visited this shrine for good luck. From the shrine, you can see great view of all Sagami area.

There is cable car to reach the shrine. Parking is available.

Enshrined God: Ooyamatsukami, Ookatsuchi, and Takaokaminokami
It is one of the 8 Tengu Shrine.

In 752, Afuri Oyama Temple was built. After Meiji Restoration, it became Afuri Shrine. The main Shrine is located on the top of Mt. Oyama which is 1253m high.
