Hinata Yakushi Temple

Hinata Yakushi Temple (日向薬師) is one of the oldest temple in Kanagawa Prefecture. It was established in 716 by Priest Gyoki. As the god of the healing people, this temple was highly respected by Samurai and the imperial people. First Samurai Shogun Yoritomo worshipped here for his daughter's health recovery. There are many traditional buildings remaining in this temple. THe main Hall was built in 1660 and designated as the national important cultural assets. Today, many people still worship for their health wish.

Hinata Yakushi Temple
Hojobo Temple, a.k.a Hinata Yakushi, is one of the oldest temple in Kanagawa. It was established in 716 by priest Gyoki. The record of the temple said, in 1194, Minamoto no Yoritomo worshipped here. There are many buddhist statues and principals that are registered as the national important cultural assets. Also, the main hall was constructed in 1660 and registered as well. The bell of this temple was made in 1340.

It is known as the temple of the healing. So, many people since the begining to today worship this temple.
