Carp Festival at Ryujinkyo (竜神峡鯉のぼりまつり) is one of the largest Carp festivals that happens around the children's day that is also Golden Week. Ryujinkyo is a valley located in the northern Ibaraki Prefecture. There is a huge suspension bridge at the valley and there are 1000 carp flags will swim in the ski.

There are parking and restroom and gift shop.
Admission: 310yen for adult and 210 yen for kids.
Open: 8:30 to 17:00.
Period: From Apr. 29 to May 14.

0. at Mito Station.
1. use JR Suigun Line to Hitachi Ota.
2. use the local bus to Ryujinootsuribashi (40min.)

Carp Festival at Ryujinkyo
Ryujin Great Suspension Bridge is located in Hitachi Ota, Ibaraki Prefecture. It is one of the biggest suspension bridge in Japan. It is 446m long in total. It was placed on the Ryujin Valley in 1994. The height of the middle point from the bottom lake is about 100m tall. It is a very popular spot in Hitatchi Ota, especially during Koyo.
