Awa Shrine (安房神社) is the first priority shrine of the land of Awa located in Tateyama, Chiba Prefecture. It is known as the great money and business luck shrine. It enshrines the sacred mountain. It was established at the time of the first Emperor Jinmu. It is highly respected by the people around here.

Awa Shrine
Awa Shrine is said to have been founded 2,670 years ago. Legend has it that originally Amenotomi-no-mikoto built this shrine in order to enshrine Amenofutodama-no-mikoto and Amenohiritome-no-mikoto who are ancestors of him in it.
The deity of this shrine is also enshrined in Ise Jingu Shrine, and therefore the main shrine is in a Japanese architectural style called Shinmei zukuri, which is the same as Ise Jingu Shrine.

Kaminomiya Shrine
It enshrines Amenohiritome-no-mikoto.

Shimo-no-MIya Shrine
It enshrines Amenotomi-no-mikoto and Amenooshihi-no-mikoto.

Itsukushima Shrine
It is said that primitive rituals had been conducted here until the shrine was built.
