Anyoin Temple (安養院) is a pure land buddhism temple located in Kamakura. It is very famous for its Azalea. From the end of April to beginning of May, Azalea bloom beautifully. It was dedicated to Minamoto no Yoritomo and found by his wife Hojo Masako. This temple was established1225.

Anyoin Temple

Anyoin is pure land buddhism temple located in Kamakura. It was established by Hojo Masako for her husband the first Kamakura Shogun, Minamoto no Yoritomo in 1225. She asked priest Gangyo to found this temple.

Anyoin is the buddhist name of Masako. It is very famous for its beautiful Azalea.
